National Stadium of Wales

The Principality Stadium is in the heart of Cardiff City Centre and is an iconic sports venue hosts high-profile concerts, exhibitions and conferences in Cardiff.

The Principality Stadium on Westgate Street is home to the Wales national rugby union team (WRU) and has also staged games for the Wales national football team. It was initially built in 1999 to host the Rugby World Cup. It has gone on to host other large-scale events such as the Tsunami Relief concert, Super Special Stage, Wales Rally Great Britain and the Speedway Grand Prix. The Six Nations take place in February and March, and the Autumn Internationals in November.

Principality Stadium Concerts

It is also a popular concert venue with megastars Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, The Rolling Stone, Sir Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Spice Girls, Pink and Take That, to name a few, performing there. In 2023 other superstars hitting the stage will be Coldplay and Harry Styles.

Principality Stadium Tours

Tours offer the opportunity to explore one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. Experience the build-up before the match in the Dragon's Lair, Wales's team dressing room or imagine the roar of 74,500 fans as you take a stroll down the players' tunnel towards the hallowed turf. Learn about the semi-artificial Desso pitch system and fully retractable roof, which allows the entire playing surface to be covered to create one of the world's largest indoor arenas.  Drink in the view of the pitch from a VIP hospitality suite, and finally hold the trophy skywards like a sporting superstar in the President's Box, an area usually reserved for royalty.
