World Egg Day

World Egg Day

We love eggs at Future Inns. They are used on our breakfast selection, they are in our homemade cakes served with afternoon tea, on the lunch and evening a-la-carte menu and of course in the dessert selection.

For centuries, eggs have played a significant role in feeding families around the globe. They are an unbeatable package when it comes to versatility and top-quality protein at a very affordable price. They are also an excellent source of choline, essential in memory and brain development. When you factor in convenience and terrific taste, there is just no competition.

Eggs are one of nature’s highest quality sources of protein, and indeed contain many of the key ingredients for life. The proteins contained within eggs are highly important in the development of the brain and muscles, have a crucial role to play in disease prevention and contribute to general well being.

What is World Egg Day?

World Egg Day is celebrated around the globe on the second Friday in October each year. In 2019 we are celebrating on Friday 11th October. It helps to raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and their importance in human nutrition.

How do you like your eggs in the morning?

Whether you are staying in Bristol, Cardiff or Plymouth, we serve a full buffet breakfast. The hot section includes your favourites including bacon, sausage, baked beans and mushrooms as well as eggs. The breakfast buffet station includes fried eggs and scrambled eggs, but you can also request boiled eggs or poached eggs from the serving team. Our chefs can also make you an omelette if you prefer.

Breakfast is £12 per person if pre-ordered or £14 on the day. Under 12’s are half price, and under 5’s eat for free with a paying adult.

Thanks, a brunch

If you miss breakfast or prefer to eat a bit later, the brunch menu also has an egg selection. From avocado on toast with a poached egg to eggs benedict; a toasted English muffin with ham or smoked salmon, poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. If you want a vegetarian version the eggs florentine; poached eggs with buttered spinach and Hollandaise sauce on a toasted English muffin is also offered. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are also on the menu.

Brunch items are between £1.50-£7.00.
