Fishbone Restaurant's Summer Menu
Our new summer menu in Fishbone Restaurant is here! As we do every year, we've updated our summer menu to reflect what is in season now. Alongside the classic dishes are light bites, seafood and divine desserts.
When you think of summer, your thoughts immediately go to shorts, flip-flops, sun cream and holidays with a view. For us, it's the influx of fresh, bright seasonal ingredients. Such as asparagus, peppers, peaches, chillies and garlic. These are used throughout the new summer menu in Plymouth.
Go on a flavour adventure this summer. There are many fresh vegetables and flavours on the menu to make you feel like you're abroad, instead of on staycation. All our dishes are created on-site using local, fresh ingredients, all perfect for warmer days and nights.
Fishbone Restaurant serves British food and an array of delicious fresh fish dishes. All made on-site using fresh local produce. There is a wide selection of meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes to choose from. Plus, under 5's eat for free with a paying adult. Whether you visit with friends, family or colleagues – over and over again - you'll be welcome!
Suppose you fancy a light bite at lunchtime. How about a red wine poached pear with Devon blue cheese, candied walnuts and port syrup (v) (gf) to start? Or a Thai vegetable salad with coconut milk, chilli, carrot, onion peppers, coriander and lemon grass (vg) (gf).
Heartier dishes are also on the menu, including king prawn linguine with capers, chilli, tomato and fresh herbs or a buttermilk fried chicken chipotle burger with chunky chips. Of course, there's a range of sandwiches and paninis.
After a more relaxed daytime menu, things move up a notch in the evenings. Some notable new dishes on the main menu include the roast cod loin with chorizo and white bean casserole, lemongrass marinated chicken breast with sweet potato and pea korma with toasted almonds or the roasted vegetables gateaux with cherry tomato salsa, chilli and spring onion polenta and red pepper dressing (vg) (gf).
This is alongside our grill menu, including ribeye and sirloin. All steaks are served with cherry tomatoes, onion rings, chunky chips and sauce of choice. Choose from peppercorn, Diane and blue cheese sauces or garlic butter.
Some favourites remain on the menu with a revamp. Including the main meal - our famous full rack of baby ribs in BBQ sauce served with onion rings, chunky chips and coleslaw or the catch of the day in our light beer batter served with mushy peas, chunky chips and tartare sauce.
Are you staying in our Plymouth hotel? You're more than welcome to dine in your bedroom. Some dishes are available 24 hours a day, including sandwiches and pizza. If you're hungry, load your room service tray with starters, sides and dessert. Our favourites are the dark chocolate and orange tart with vanilla lime cream and honeycomb (v), homemade sticky toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream (v) or the west country cheese selection with brie, cheddar, blue cheese, and Cornish Yarg served with crackers, grapes and red onion chutney.
Our favourite special offer is available seven days a week from 5pm. You can enjoy two courses for £19 or 3 courses for £23. The table d'hote menu has some popular selections from the Fishbone Restaurant menu and fantastic fresh specials.
You'll be spoilt for choice on our drinks menu, which offers well-known brands and famous local producers. Our local drink selection includes local ales and Plymouth gin. Fishbone Bar & Restaurant also has an extensive gin and mixer menu, and the cocktails cost £7 each. Of course, there is a wide range of soft drinks, teas and coffees too.
Want a truly unforgettable dining experience? Begin with a cocktail to start your evening off before sitting down to three courses off the table d'hôte dinner menu. You can then stick to the same cocktail or pick two entirely different ones from the cocktail menu. Available 7 days a week from 5pm, all for £44 per person. This is also available to purchase as a gift voucher.
Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and traditional roasts on Sunday. The opening times are; Monday – Friday between 6.30am-10pm, Saturday between 7.30am-10pm and between 7.30am-9.30pm on Sunday.
