Christmas in Plymouth is bigger and better than ever before! With the Christmas holidays fast approaching, it can be difficult to plan enough fun-filled activities to keep the kids - and the adults - entertained.
There are so many Christmas events in Plymouth in 2018, from nights outs with colleagues, Christmas events for kids, and even restaurants open for Christmas Day. On the lead up to the festive season you can enjoy great shopping, bustling markets, and family activities.
With an amazing mix of top brands and creative independent retailers, when out Christmas shopping you will be able to find something even for the trickiest of people on your gift list. Alongside the city centre, you have the Waterfront with boutiques and art galleries where you can pick up some unique gifts or head to the Christmas markets where 60 log cabins will be selling everything from handmade jewellery, clothing, homeware and you can even pick up a real Christmas tree.
If you need a pitstop for lunch, or even a glass of mulled wine, Fishbone Restaurant at Future Inns is serving festive 3-course lunches for £18 per person, between 12pm-3pm daily. The full menu can be seen here, but you could start with a roasted tomato and red lentil soup, followed by traditional turkey and all the trimmings, and a Christmas pudding with brandy cream for dessert.
The annual Christmas party night is the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style, with groups of friends, gatherings with workmates or even a catch up with family. Even though the festive season is approaching fast, it is not too late to book your Christmas meal venue. You can expect tasty festive food, knock back a glass of bubbly or two and dance the night away.
On Friday and Saturday nights throughout December alongside a welcome drink, a festive hog roast buffet followed by freshly brewed tea or coffee, are Future Inn Plymouth Live Entertainment Nights. You can sing along to some of your favourite artists as our tribute acts will be Madonna, Freddie Mercury, Robbie Williams and Michael Jackson, all for £32 per person.

For pudding you could enjoy a chocolate and black cheery roulade with mascarpone and an almond sauce, followed by freshly brewed tea or coffee and petite fours.
