Families are more than welcome our Bar and Restaurant

We know that the school holidays can be a whirlwind trying to keep the kids entertained, organising childcare and days out all of which make life pretty hectic and more expensive than usual.  When out and about, or after a long day, you may not feel like cooking, hang up the towel, put away the oven gloves and escape the heat of the kitchen.

Can we have ice-cream?

The children’s menu has something for foodie kids or those who may be a bit fussier, and they always ensure that there is one of the ‘five a day’ on the plate.  Savoury choices include chicken or beef burger, roast chicken, fish fingers, chicken nuggets or even an omelette.  If you are letting them have a sweet treat too, options include chocolate cake, ice cream or a sticky toffee pudding.  All washed down with bottomless squash, or you can have juice, milk, water or a fizzy drink.  Plus, you can keep them occupied.  What can be more fun than colouring in your menu?!

What’s on the menu for adults?

The lunch menu offers a selection of sandwiches and salads as well as heartier dishes including a tagine, risotto, fish and pasta.  Whereas the evening menu offers an a-la-carte dining experience with signature dishes including Welsh venison, locally caught fish dishes and authentic ribs and steak.  There is a whole selection of starters, side dishes and heavenly desserts to explore too.

There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.  From a lighter bite of a Spiced Aubergine and Lentil Salad to a hearty Asparagus, Mushroom and Radish Linguini.  The biggest hit this summer has been the Watermelon carpaccio dessert which comes with, roasted pineapple, passion fruit and mango sorbet.

Afternoon Tea with Mini-Me

Under 12’s can also enjoy a Taste of Wales Afternoon Tea for free with a paying adult this summer too.  The afternoon tea is homemade and uses Welsh products and ingredients.  With finger sandwiches, handmade scones and a homemade cake selection, it is definitely something to enjoy together.  It also comes with unlimited tea or coffee, and children can choose to have squash, a fizzy drink or a hot chocolate instead.  Plus, it is only £12 per person.  Pre-booking is essential, as they are made to order.

Lunch is served between 12pm-5pm, the Taste of Wales Afternoon Tea between 1pm-5pm and Dinner between 5pm-10pm (9.30pm on Sundays).  There is lots of free parking and we offer free WiFi too.  Bookings can be made online (below), by calling 02920 487111 or on email to thomas@futureinns.co.uk.
