Cardiff has been confirmed as the finishing point of the third UK stage of the 2027 Tour de France, cementing its place in cycling history. The Grand Départ will link the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, with the Welsh capital, Cardiff, taking the race through English roads via Liverpool before tackling the dramatic landscapes of Wales.

The men’s stage will start in Welshpool, Powys, and conclude in Cardiff on Sunday 4 July 2027, showcasing some of the region’s most scenic and demanding climbs, including Rhigos and Caerphilly. The stage will culminate in a spectacular finish at the Principality Stadium.

It is incredibly easy to get to The Principality Stadium from Future Inns:

It is a 6-minute taxi ride from Future Inn Cardiff to the city centre.
Cardiff Bay train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you to Cardiff Queen Street station, followed by a 15-minute walk to the Principality Stadium on Westgate Street.
Alternatively, you could change lines for Cardiff Central, followed by a 5-minute walk.
Several buses go into the city centre from Lloyd George Avenue or the Wales Millennium Centre, both of which are very short walks from the hotel.
The Aquabus (water taxi) runs hourly from Cardiff Bay between 1030 and 1630 and stops in Bute Park, across the road from the stadium. Weather permitting. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
