It is incredibly easy to get to The Principality Stadium from Future Inns:

  • It is a 6-minute taxi ride from Future Inn Cardiff to the city centre.
  • Cardiff Bay train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you to Cardiff Queen Street station, followed by a 15-minute walk to the Principality Stadium on Westgate Street.
  • Alternatively, you could change lines for Cardiff Central, followed by a 5-minute walk.
  • Several buses go into the city centre from County Hall, across the road from the hotel, or from the Wales Millennium Centre
  • The Aquabus (water taxi) runs hourly from Cardiff Bay between 1030 and 1630 and stops in Bute Park, across the road from the stadium. Weather permitting. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
  • Future Inn Cardiff is a cycle-friendly hotel, and we offer guests the option to store their bikes in their rooms, complete with cycle mats provided. It takes around 11 minutes to cycle from the hotel.
  • It would take approximately 30 minutes to walk.

The Bristol Bears Big Day Out is a spectacular double-header Premiership Rugby event staged at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The men’s and women’s teams will take on Harlequins. There will be a full day of rugby, live entertainment and fan zones. 

The Bristol Bears Big Day Out 2026 returns to Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, 28 March 2026, featuring a thrilling double-header as both the men’s and women’s teams take on Harlequins. Building on the success of their inaugural Big Day Out in 2025, this showcase event transforms a Premiership fixture into a full-day rugby festival, filling the 75,000-seat arena with an electric atmosphere, fan zones, and live entertainment. 

This high-profile match day mirrors marquee events like Harlequins’ “Big Game” or Saracens’ “Showdown,” designed to reach wider audiences and expand the club’s brand beyond Ashton Gate. Facing Harlequins, no less, adds a high-stakes competitive edge - fans can expect top-tier action on the pitch in both men’s and women’s contests, set against the backdrop of Cardiff’s vibrant city atmosphere.
