With the Summer Holidays fast approaching, we have compiled a short list of our recommendations of things to do in Cardiff throughout July & August. There are many fun events & activities taking place in the Welsh capital that are great for the whole family, so why not visit?

 

Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival | 14th – 16th July 2017  
Wales’s biggest free food festival takes place in the Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay (right on our door step) with over 100 local, national and international producers showcasing their goods. Visitors can enjoy the vast amount of stalls at the fayre & taste all of the fantastic produce on offer from artisan breads to homemade liqueurs.  This is the ultimate event for foodies & is one not to be missed this July.

Meet the knights |  22nd – 23rd July 2017
Step back in time & experience the valour and chivalry of the knights in Cardiff Castle. Enjoy magical storytelling, fierce combat displays and even attempt some archery at their ‘have- a – go- archery’ sessions.

Cardiff Bay Beach | 29th July – 2nd September  2017
Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay will once again be transformed into an impressive urban beach with literally ‘buckets’ full of fun to be had by the whole family. The attraction offers a large child-friendly sandy beach, water play area, and a selection funfair rides and games. There will also be free live entertainment, as well as, delicious food & drink on offer.

Cardiff International Pool
You can enjoy Cardiff International pool no matter the weather. It is a water wonderland allowing for swimming, learning and extreme fun with the 3 slides, tipping buckets and the fantastic range of toys and floats available.

St Fagans
As Wales’s most popular heritage attraction, St Fagans is not to be missed. Explore the grounds of the outstanding Castle and experience Wales’s history from the Celtic times to the present day. You can also watch as the craftsmen demonstrate their traditional skills in their many workshops and activities.
