There are not many cities where Christmas lights string across castle turrets, electric reindeer prance along a Norman moat and shoppers glide along Victorian arcades and into sophisticated shopping malls.

There are not many cities where the sound of huge crowds drift out of an iconic stadium and into city centre pubs and cafes, bookshops and delis.

There are not many cities bisected by a traffic free cyclepath, linking sea to hills, along the former transport conduit for a world powerhouse.  

There are not many cities like Cardiff.

I may be biased and hopelessly besotted with my city, but Cardiff offers superb opportunities for the cycling visitor. Majestic hills and heritage coastline all lie on our doorstep and few cities offer such a compact centre to explore.  Visit, explore, shop and relax; have a fine Christmas stay with us.
