Those visiting restaurants will now need to register, the details you provide will be kept for 21 days in line with the track and trace procedures. Due to government guidelines, the maximum we can sit on a table is 6 guests.

What is the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme?

Running between 3rd August and 31st August 2020, you can get 50% off your food and non-alcoholic drinks bill when visiting a participating restaurant. The Eat Out to Help Out idea has been implemented by the government to encourage us to support our local businesses and reduce redundancies after such a long closure. 

What safety measures do we have in place?

There have been a few changes to the restaurant. Some tables and chairs have been removed to make more space. Alongside this, there are disposable menus and regular cleaning of commonly touched surfaces and toilet facilities. An anti-bacterial gel is also available at various stations. Fishbone Restaurant also has a 5* food hygiene rating. 

How do I order food and drink?

Unfortunately, there will be no more propping up the bar or ordering at the till; instead, only table service will be permitted. Our wait staff will take all food and drink orders at your table, and will bring them to you.

How do I pay?

We will automatically take the 50% off your bill (up to £10 per person), and any outstanding balance can be settled by yourself. Contactless payment is encouraged, but we also accept chip and pin and cash. 

What if there are more than 6 of us wanting to dine?

Unfortunately, due to government guidelines, we can not have a table booking for more than 6 people. This figure also includes children and infants, so please take this into consideration when booking. It is also not possible to move or push two tables together. 

Do I need an Eat Out to Help Out Voucher?

The Eat Out to Help Out Scheme is voucherless, so no, you don't need to bring one with you. Simply make a restaurant reservation on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and the 50% off will be taken off your final bill by us.

Did you know we offer free parking?

Fishbone Restaurant is situated in a quieter part of Plymouth, meaning there are fewer crowds. The large car park is free of charge for those eating with us. Directions and car parking information can be seen here.

Can I bring my bike?

Absolutely, you're more than welcome to. We are a cycle-friendly hotel and restaurant with a large bike rack outside of Fishbone Restaurant. 

Do you have outdoor seating?

Fishbone Restaurant does have an outdoor seating. You can not pre-book to sit outside, however, if the weather is agreeable, you are more than welcome to eat outside.

I am staying in the hotel, do I have to eat in the restaurant?

If you are staying at our Plymouth hotel, and do not wish to eat in the restaurant, you can order room service. You will find a menu and how to order in your hotel room. The food will then be brought to your bedroom. Unfortunately, it would be charged at the full price, as room service is not covered by the scheme. 

I'm staying at the hotel, do I get my breakfast half price?

The scheme discount is only available to food and drink sold for immediate consumption on the premises. This does not include food and drink that is sold as part of a wider accommodation service. This includes our bed and breakfast packages.

Eat Out to Help Out Terms

The discount will only be applied when dining on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 3-31st August 2020. You do not need a voucher or discount code. There are no limits to how many times you can dine. 

Need to cancel or amend your reservation?

Please let us know if you are not able to make your restaurant booking.

A 'no show' is when people book a table but then don't turn up without letting the restaurant know in advance. It has been a problem in the hospitality industry for some time, with an estimated 25% of bookings simply not turning up.

Now more than ever restaurants need your support. 

We understand that circumstances change. If you need to cancel, change the number of people, the time or date, feel free to call, email or amend your online booking.
