A wave of huge acts are set to come to Plymouth next year as part of the 1 Big Summer three-day festival. Thursday, June 2. will be the day for dance music lovers featuring a full live 30-piece orchestra and a soundtrack that will transport listeners through three decades of iconic white isle classics.
The orchestra night will feature special guests Basement Jaxx, whose catalogue includes the legendary singles Red Alert, Rendez-Vu, Romeo, and Where’s Your Head At. Basement Jaxx, which won two BRIT Awards and a Grammy, will be joined by many support acts, including MTV and Plymouth favourite DJ R3WIRE.
On Friday, June 3, the ‘1 Big Summer’ day festival and main event follows with one of the biggest events ever held on the Hoe. Friday will feature Years and Years. And on Saturday, June 4, Libertines and Supergrass will come together for the ultimate finale of the 1 Big Summer weekend.

Plymouth Hoe is a 17-minute drive or taxi ride from Future Inn Plymouth.
There are various buses that go from William Prance Road, a 5-minute walk from the hotel, going towards the city centre. These include the 1, 42 or 101. The bus stops near Hoe Park. The whole journey takes around 40-minutes
