Down below the Hoe Road you will find paths that lead to a pebble beach where you can swim, fish and unwind by the seaside.
The Hoe also has some historic meaning. Sir Francis Drake an explorer and local hero’s memorial can be found a few metres from the green where he finished his game of bowls before departing to defeat the Spanish Armada in 1588.
