2. Curious About Plymouth

This trail is a fantastic activity for the whole family. You will be walking around Plymouth, visiting many of the historical sights on the way! The walk is 1-2 hours long and will expand your knowledge, entertain and challenge you…not to mention it will also get your kids exercising in the open air.

3. National Marine Aquarium

Visit the National Marine Aquarium, the UK's largest aquarium and be amazed at their fascinating underwater world. You can experience the many fantastic displays of mesmerising marine life from across the globe, ranging from tiny seahorses to large sharks.

4. Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery

5. West Hoe Park

Let the kids run wild in West Hoe Park! The park not only hosts a large children’s play area, but it also has a miniature railway and putting green, crazy golf, trampolines, a merry-go-round and a bouncy castle.

6. Mount Edgcumbe

Let your kids explore nature in the woodland, beach, park and pond at Mount Edgcumbe. There is also a historic house and gardens to discover, boat trips, and an interactive sawmill. The country park is open to the public free of charge every day of the year from 8am-8pm in the summer and 8am-6pm in winter.

7. Mount Wise Swimming Pool

You can enjoy free use of the Mount Wise Swimming Pool! It has a cool 25-foot main pool, a small paddling pool ideal for smaller children, and a separate pool for lots of fun and splashing that hosts fountains, stepping stones, a whirlpool, and a bubble pool. Open from May to September.

8. Crownhill Fort

If you fancy an educational day out, why not visit Crownhill Fort? It is the best-preserved of Lord Palmerston’s Ring of Fire, which surrounded Plymouth during Victorian times, acting as a protective barrier for the Royal Dockyard at Devonport from fierce French attack! There are various dates throughout the year between March and September.

10. Drakes Den

Plymouth's award-winning soft play centre is called Drakes Den. Ideal for children aged about 12 months through to pre-school years, the youngsters can crawl, climb and play. There's something for all toddlers with slides, tunnels, and even a baby area.
