The charity exists to support children with serious rare and often life-limiting conditions in the UK.  They provide direct support to both the children and their families and want to see a world in which every child can have a marvellous childhood no matter how rare or serious their illness. 

They work to improve the long term care, quality of life and happiness of children and young people with a rare or undiagnosed illness.  Their efforts are focused in two main areas; the creation of specialist paediatric nurses and marvellous family grants. 

Giving back is extremely important to us at Future Inns, and therefore, throughout the Month of September, we will be sharing our passion for the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity with our customers. With every booking made directly via the Future Inn’s Website we are proud to be donating £1.

These donations will help fund the charity’s 54 Roald Dahl nurses that care for over 20,000 children across the UK every year and their Marvellous family grants which provide support such as respite care, counselling, play therapy and items such as specialist equipment and iPad’s which help to minimise isolation. 

Alongside these main areas of work, they also organise family events which provide an opportunity for seriously ill children and their families to meet, make friends, share experiences and support each other.
