We are going over the edge! Abseiling down the Wales Millennium Centre
There will be singing from the rafters! … or will it be a squeal as they go over the edge? Our daredevil duo will be scaling the timbers, beams and joists above the stage of the Wales Millennium Centre and heading to the roof on Saturday 8th June 2019, before abseiling down.
There are two locations on the building for the abseil, one running down the slate wall which overlooks the Roald Dahl Plass and the other down the iconic inscription 'Creu Gwir Fel Gwydr O Ffwrnais Awen - In These Stones Horizons Sing’.
The unforgettable experience will be undertaken by Hayley Colley, Group Revenue Manager and Martin Eagle, Sales Manager both from Future Inn Cardiff. As the principle hotel partner, since The Centre has opened, it was only right that our team supported them in their 15th Anniversary Abseil Fundraiser.
You can support Hayley and Martin taking on their once in a lifetime decline and the Wales Millennium Centre by making a donation, or by cheering them on. A family fun day is planned so even those not taking on the descent can get involved too. The Centre will use the money raised through fundraising to offer every young person in Wales access to the arts by creating digital learning, practical skills workshops and courses, partnering with youth-led festivals and allowing them to take part in world-class theatre productions.
Wish them luck, going over the edge!
