What do you need to know?

  • Download the Tier app onto your iPhone or Android to start riding.
  • Riders must have a provisional or full driving licence and be 18 years old to hire an e-scooter. This will be verified within minutes of submitting a photo of it via the app.
  • Find an available Tier e-scooter and unlock it using your Tier app.
  • Riders are always encouraged to wear helmets.
  • Bristol and Tier operate a Mandatory Scooter Parking Zone system, meaning you need to park the e-scooter in a specific parking area to complete your ride. These are all easy to find on Tier's app.
  • Before you complete your Tier ride, you need to take a Parking Photo of your scooter and submit it to Tier, who will then quickly allow you to complete your ride. This ensures Bristol's Tier riders park responsibly and keep the city tidy and safe for visitors, residents and road users.

What are the operating hours?

The local scheme e-scooters are available from 6am to midnight all week. 

Bristol Scooter Hire Cost

The Tier scooters Bristol prices are pay-as-you-go. You pay 99p to unlock the vehicle and then are priced between 16p per minute. Discounts are available for students, university staff, Blue Light Card holders and those on income support.

Long Term Rental is available for Bristol and Bath residents for a £40 per month fee.
