Future Inns gets into the swing with a warm-up of the 2nd Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival. 

Future Inn Bristol is proud to support the 2nd Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival with an event on 6th March 2014 at their Jazz room, the Jazz@FutureInn.   

The event which begins at 8.30pm promises to be music to the ears for all Jazz aficionados with an impressive line-up featuring drummer John Blakeley and bassist Greg Cordez as part of the “jazzed up" festival weekend in Bristol. 

On the opening evening, drummer John Blakeley takes full advantage of his legendary surname in this all-star tribute to Art Blakey and other artists of the Blue Note era. Nick Malcolm - Trumpet, Kevin Figes - Alto sax and Jake McMurchie - Tenor sax form the front line, with Jim Blomfield - Piano, Jon Short - Bass and John Blakeley - Drums providing the rhythm. 

Eclectic bassist Greg Cordez brings his quintet to this very special evening to give us songs from the likes of Andrew Hill, Gil Evans and Mingus.  

Bassist Greg Cordez said,”Jazz@Futureinn is the perfect venue to host this event and we are delighted to be involved with the Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival which is in its second year running.”
