Housed in a stunning Grade II-listed former tram depot in west Cardiff, this multi-purpose space has become a hub for live music club nights, concerts, cinema screenings, street food festivals and cultural events. Whether you’re into chart-topping bands and artists, tribute acts, comedy, or DJ sets, there’s always something happening.

The event programme is incredibly varied. Past performers include big names like 5ive, Martin Kemp, Trevor Nelson, Maximo Park, Ella Henderson, Lightning Seeds, Badly Drawn Boy, S Club, Damage, 911, and A1. For a more intimate experience, the venue even has a 46-seat cinema room, ideal for smaller screenings and private hires.

Getting from Future Inn Cardiff to Tramshed

  • By Car - Tramshed is on Clare Road, approximately a 10-minute drive from Future Inn Cardiff. There is pay-and-display on-street parking around the venue, primarily on Pendyris Street and Taff Mead Embankment.
  • By Train Cardiff Bay train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you one stop to Cardiff Queen Street station. Change lines for Cardiff Central, one stop, and then walk for 5 minutes.
  • By Bus - Using the Cardiff Bus network, it would take around 24 minutes to get there from the hotel. The number 8 bus picks up from the Wales Millennium Centre and drops off on Clare Road.
  • On Foot - Walking would take 40 minutes.
  • By Bike - Future Inn Cardiff is a cycle-friendly hotel, and we allow guests to store their bikes in their rooms, complete with cycle mats supplied. It takes around 13 minutes to cycle from the hotel.
