The Speedway returns to Principality Stadium on 13 August 2022
Britain’s biggest indoor motorsport event makes a blockbuster return to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The first FIM British Speedway Grand Prix held at the Principality Stadium took place on 9 June 2001. Only one British rider out of the 16 who have ridden at the Principality Stadium has won the Grand Prix in Cardiff - Chris Harris in 2007. Will we see another British winner in 2022?
Speedway superstars Tony Rickardsson, Greg Hancock, Jason Crump, Nicki Pedersen, Chris Holder and Bartosz Zmarzlik are just some of the riders who have topped the podium in Cardiff.
The Principality Stadium is a 6-minute taxi ride into the City Centre from Future Inn Cardiff. Cardiff Bay train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you to Cardiff Queen Street station, followed by a 15-minute walk to the Principality Stadium. Alternatively, you could change lines for Cardiff Central followed by a 5-minute walk. It would take approximately 30 minutes to walk from the hotel.
Future Inn Cardiff is an ideal base for the night, offering various sized rooms, including ones that can sleep up to four adults.
