Participants of all ages and abilities can enjoy a multitude of sports, such as rowing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, powerboating, fishing and archery, in a safe and exciting environment. CBWAC operates from two fantastic locations – Channel View Leisure Centre in Cardiff and Cardiff Sailing Centre in Cardiff Bay.

Cardiff International White Water

A centre of excellence for training, Cardiff International White Water provides expertly run courses, from the Paddle School to Duke of Edinburgh Awards. CIWW has so many amazing activities on offer that whatever watersport you’re looking for, they’re bound to have it covered!

White water rafting is one of the most sociable activities available. With an indoor wave, a simulated surf machine provides the thrill of bodyboarding. Get harnessed up and cross the high ropes timber structure towering above the white water course, and try the challenging Burma Bridge, Monkey Swing, Barrel Crawl and Zip Wire. Other activities include canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, hot dogging and more.

Llandaff Rowing Club

Llandaff Rowing Club is one of Wales's oldest and largest rowing clubs. For more than 60 years, Llandaff has been a major force in Welsh rowing. It sits on the banks of the River Taff and has a 1200-metre stretch of water at its disposal. This wide section of the river includes a sharp bend and a weir near the Clubhouse at the end of the downstream section.

Rowing is a year-round sport with long-distance ‘head’ races during the Autumn/Winter, and ‘regattas’ during Spring/Summer. During the week circuits, weight classes, ergo sessions and core stability groups are offered. Waterwork takes place at weekends in the autumn and winter and during the evenings and weekends in spring and summer.
