Cardiff's famous big weekend and LGBTQ+ celebration is back between 22 - 23 June 2024

 

Pride Cymru 2024

Pride Cymru's event is historically known as Cardiff-Wales LGBT Mardi Gras. Annually the registered charity hosts a community and equality celebration festival. Dates due change, previously, it has been on during the August bank holiday and weekend dates in June or July.

Cardiff Pride 2024 Dates

This year Pride is on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2024.

The 2024 celebration is being held at Cardiff Castle. 

The event starts with a parade stretching over a mile long through the streets of Cardiff. Over 7,000 people are expected to take part. The parade ends where the entertainment begins. Over the two days, a whole host of singers and performers will take over the main stage.

Pride Cymru Line Up

The 2024 lineup is to be confirmed. In 2023, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Claire Richards from Steps, The Feeling, July Jones and Ginny Lemon, the breakout star of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, took to the stage. Revellers can also expect:

Getting to Cardiff Castle from Future Inn Cardiff

  • It is a 10-minute taxi ride from Future Inn Cardiff to the city centre. There are numerous car parks in the city centre with varying tariffs if you want to drive.
  • Cardiff Bay train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and takes you to Cardiff Queen Street station, followed by an 11-minute walk to Cardiff Castle.
  • Several buses go into the city centre from County Hall, across the road from the hotel taking 16 minutes.
  • If you'd like to explore Cardiff, the hop-on, hop-off Cardiff City Sightseeing bus goes from the Wales Millennium Centre and stops outside Cardiff Castle.
  • The Aquabus (water taxi) runs hourly from Cardiff Bay between 1030 and 1630 and stops in Bute Park, in the grounds of Cardiff Castle. Weather permitting. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
  • It would take approximately 35 minutes to walk.
  • Future Inn Cardiff is a cycle-friendly hotel, and we allow guests to keep bikes in their rooms with cycle mats supplied. It takes 16 minutes to cycle through the city centre.

Thomas Restaurant is ideal to fuel up before the celebratory events. Every day the team serve breakfast, brunch, and evening a-la-carte menus. Burgers, sandwiches and other lite bites are available on our lunch menu, or a homemade Sunday Roast is served every Sunday between 12pm-5pm. A homemade Taste of Wales Afternoon Tea is served daily between 1pm-5pm from £19 per person, or our set menu offers 3 courses for £25 daily from 5pm.
