Our modern yet elegant function suites offer a stylish setting to take your vows, enjoy a wedding breakfast or celebrate into the early hours. From a small, intimate wedding to a grander affair, our suites can accommodate your guests up to 210 people.
All of the wedding suites are licensed for civil ceremonies and are fully air-conditioned with plenty of natural daylight, and offer a neutral colour scheme which will complement any wedding theme.

Over the moon with our wedding!
It was wonderful! The staff at Future Inns really looked after us - everyone we came across was warm and helpful - and our family was super impressed with the hotel, breakfast and service from the staff.
We're glad that we chose the Future Inn as our venue, especially since we are nervous people; we felt at ease, and nothing was too much.
We did our wedding on a budget, and even though it was super cost-effective, I didn't feel like the quality of the wedding suffered because of this at all! It was a bargain, and if you have a small budget, I would definitely recommend the Future Inns over a registry office because they have a marriage license, so we were able to actually get married in the hotel without dragging our families to another venue for some food.
They are also super transparent with costs; there were no hidden costs at all.
The venue supplied table and chair covers, so we just needed to get decorated. The rooms were the perfect size, and the ceremony room was lovely.
Everyone also liked the buffet. The pulled pork was a hit, as were the mozzarella dippers, which were particularly noted by the family.
Some family stayed another night because they liked the hotel that much.
But overall, it was amazing, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We are really glad that we chose the Future Inns as our place to get married!

Our experience at Future Inns was exceptional from start to finish!
The team went above and beyond in making our day special. From the very first meeting to leaving the day after our wedding.
We chose Future Inns because of the flexibility in the number of guests we could book. We only wanted a small day celebration with a larger evening party. There were no minimum guest requirements or special requests; anything we requested was accommodated.
The team set up all of my handmade decorations beautifully, and I felt so relaxed.
On the day, we and our guests were treated like royalty, and every single thing went to time and plan.
We cannot thank the team enough for everything they did.

How to Get to Future Inns
Just over a mile from Cardiff City Centre and within walking distance of plentiful nearby attractions and local events, Future Inn Cardiff boasts easy access to the A4232 and M4 in South Wales. The wedding venue is just a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Bay Train Station, and buses stop on the opposite side of the road at Cardiff County Hall. Making our venues suitably accessible for guests travelling to attend your big day.
Future Inns is also a cycle-friendly hotel, easily accessible from the Taff Trail and Cardiff Bay Barrage, with a large secure cycle rack. For those travelling from the city centre, The Aquabus (water taxi) runs hourly from Cardiff Bay between 1000 and 1700.
Free Parking
All guests at Future Inns and Thomas Restaurant get free parking. We ask that car registration details be input on one of the consoles in the restaurant or hotel reception upon arrival. This is to avoid being sent a parking penalty notice. Have an electric car? Take advantage of our electric car charging.
Terms and Conditions
Standard booking terms and conditions apply. All wedding dates are subject to availability and a minimum number of guests. A deposit and a signed contract are required at the time of booking to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance can be paid in instalments and must be paid in full four weeks prior to the event. All deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-amendable.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance can I book?
With us, as far as you like. However, Cardiff Registry Office will have their own calendar to make sure they have the date, time and availability for the celebrants.
I want to get married soon! What’s the quickest I can do this?
If you want to get married at Future inns, this will depend on the availability of celebrants at the Cardiff Registry Office. If our wedding and event spaces are available, we can do short notice.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made by credit or debit card (excluding American Express) or bank transfer. All payments are to be made in advance of the booking date.
When do I pay the deposit and how much is it?
A £500 deposit is required to secure the wedding date along with your signed contract. Please note, that we recommend checking with Cardiff Registry Office’s availability beforehand.
When is the next payment due?
A further £500 is to be paid 6 months before the wedding day, and the final balance cleared 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding date.
I want a Civil Ceremony. Who books the Registrar?
The responsibility to book the Registrar is with the couple getting married. For weddings at Future Inns, this is with Cardiff Registry Office.
Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?
This is not an option we provide. However, we are happy to make recommendations.
What time is the ceremony held? What time is the reception held?
The ceremony time will need to be confirmed with Cardiff Registry Office. We recommend between 1-3pm, however, this is entirely up to you. The Reception is usually held 2-3 hours afterwards to give you time for photographs and to mingle with your guests.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Future Inn Cardiff is licensed for weddings indoors. However, there is an outside area – in front of Thomas Restaurant - for all guests to use.
What should I expect after the ceremony?
Typically, after the ceremony has finished you and your guests will have photographs taken. There is then time for refreshments. During this time, our wedding team and any suppliers you have booked will change the event space around ready for everyone to sit down for a meal. If you are having additional evening guests, there may be an additional need to change the room around and for entertainment to set up.
