Science Museum in Bristol

Located in the historic Harbourside area, at Bristol Millennium Square, you’ll find one of the UK's most exciting interactive attractions.

If you're looking for one of the best family attractions in the city, We The Curious is a must-visit museum Bristol has to offer. Located in Millennium Square on Bristol's vibrant Harbourside, this is Bristol at its most inspiring, where science, creativity and curiosity come together under one roof. Whether you're travelling with young children, teenagers or simply love discovering how the world works, this award-winning attraction offers an unforgettable day out.

Unlike a traditional museum where you're encouraged to look but not touch, We The Curious invites you to get involved. Think of it as an indoor festival of discovery, where you can experiment, build, play and explore your way through hundreds of hands-on exhibits. Every visit feels different thanks to a programme of special events, live demonstrations and interactive workshops designed to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages.

We The Curious Exhibits

With more than 300 interactive exhibits spread across two floors, there's plenty to keep the whole family entertained. Step inside a giant bubble, create your own TV programme, experience the power of a swirling tornado, explore the wonders of the human body, investigate sound and light, or discover the science behind everyday life.

Animation fans can join Morph and friends in Aardman's exclusive exhibition, while aspiring inventors can explore plenty of creative exhibition ideas that encourage problem-solving, imagination and hands-on learning. Throughout the year, changing displays explore topics such as robotics, engineering, food, anatomy and sustainability, ensuring there's always something new to discover.

Friendly science communicators are on hand throughout the building to support visitors as they experiment, ask questions and uncover the fascinating stories behind each exhibit, making it an ideal destination for curious minds and budding science explorers.

Bristol Planetarium

The attraction is also home to the UK's first 3D Planetarium. Inside the iconic silver sphere, visitors can journey through the cosmos, discover distant galaxies, identify famous constellations and learn about the life cycle of stars. The immersive shows combine spectacular visuals with fascinating storytelling, creating an experience that's truly out of this world.

Perfect for Families and Schools

We The Curious is designed for visitors of every age, making it perfect for families, couples and groups looking for something different to do in Bristol. It also works closely with schools, offering curriculum-linked visits that inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and creative thinkers.

Whether you're walking through a tornado, learning how fire behaves, creating stop-motion animation or exploring the mysteries of space, every visit offers fresh opportunities to learn through play.
