Weston Sand Sculpture Festival 2014
What: Weston’s popular festival will return for 2014 with a magical twist. Twenty of the world’s best sand sculptors will turn 4000 tonnes of Weston’s unique beach sand into a giant world of incredible (and incredibly huge) sand sculptures. This year will open it’s gates under the title‘Once Upon a Time ’ and will include The Hunger Games, Beatrix Potter, Narnia and Rapunzel.
Head to the beach this year to see if you can find your fairytale ending…and don’t forget your camera! /

What: Mayfest is Bristol’s unique annual festival of contemporary theatre. It is dedicated to presenting a broad range of unusual, playful and ambitious work from leading theatre makers from Bristol, the UK and beyond. Mayfest is produced by MAYK in collaboration with Bristol Old Vic and works in partnership with other key arts venues across Bristol to present work in both established theatre spaces and non-theatre spaces all over the city. /

Ballet: Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake

Bute Park & Arboretum
What: Bute Park & Arboretum is an extensive area of mature parkland easily accessible from the city centre. Flanked by the River Taff, Sophia Gardens, Pontcanna Fields and Cardiff Castle, Bute Park is the “green heart” of Cardiff full of historic and wildlife interest.
