It is also a good idea to allocate budgets to each aspect of the wedding, or at least where you’re happy to spend a little extra and where you would like to hold back.

Also consider local big special or sporting events, you do not want your guests to have other commitments, or be at the bar watching TV, instead of celebrating your big day. We recommend that you have a couple of dates in mind to avoid disappointment.
The final numbers do not need to be in place, but it is a good idea to have a rough idea as this is a crucial piece of information for your venue and suppliers. It will likely affect every decision you make. It’s natural to feel the need to invite everyone and their Aunt, but you need to remember that the bigger the guest list, the more you restrict your venue options and squeeze your budget.
