Guide to Tackling the Bristol January Sales

Guide to Tackling the Bristol January Sales

As a city in the Top 10 Shopping destinations in the UK, Bristol hosts a vast selection of shops for you to explore. As the January sales are upon us, we thought we would put this guide together to help you tackle the city’s shops during this busy period.

Plan Ahead

If you’re not sure of what it is you need, shopping can get stressful, so, make a list of what you need & want…and be prepared to make a couple of compromises. We can all get carried away with retail therapy but by planning ahead you will be able to use the sales to prepare for the coming year’s essentials (without breaking the bank), for instance, that Winter coat you’ve been putting off purchasing since October.

Decide where you want to shop

Have you decided what shops you’d like to visit? Cabot Circus in the heart of The Bristol Shopping Quarter is a fantastic place to find all of your high-street bargains, or if you prefer something a little fancier, try the posh boutiques in Clifton Village. Head to the fantastic independent shops on Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road for discounted vintage bargains & quirky gift stores.

Keep your energy up

Shopping can be tiring, so be sure to come prepared with handbag fuel such as nuts, dried fruit or a handful of that left-over Chocolate from Christmas. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a bottle of water too – you’re going to need to keep yourself hydrated and seriously focused on hunting down those bargains.

Most Importantly…Find a good place to rest

Whether you would like a comfy place to stay on a Friday night ready to hit the sales first thing Saturday Morning or a place to unwind after a full day of shopping, with rooms from £62.10, Future Inn Bristol is the perfect choice. We are located in the heart of the city & directly opposite Cabot Circus & offer free parking in a nearby carpark.
