Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival 2017

The Bristol International Blues & Jazz Festival (16th - 19th March) is home to the exciting and forward-thinking contemporary jazz music being made today.  It attracts a unique, deeply engaged, discerning audience, a diverse range of cultural enthusiasts and music fans from across the UK. Each year they bring Jazz together in the form of a festival line-up which celebrates all things jazz and blues – from swing to funk, bebop to blues, Gypsy jazz to gospel, soul to rock ‘n roll.

This year the line-up features Macy Gray, a live show from prolific producer and musician Quantic featuring Alice Russell, the world premiere of Andy Sheppard’s Metropolis live score, a big band tribute to the legendary Dizzy Gillespie led by his friend and fellow be-bop founder, Bobby Shew and ‘Sounds for Spies & Private Eyes’ – a musical spectacular featuring Adrian Utley (Portishead), Will Gregory (Goldfrapp), The Army Of Generals string orchestra and an 18-piece Big Band.

Our Bristol Hotel actively supports Jazz and even hosts its own Jazz evening on Thursdays at our Chophouse Restaurant. We have welcomed extremely talented, national and international musicians to our stage. So, if you're visiting for the Festival, where better place is there to stay? We would love to host you.
