Only the Brave

Only The Brave

28 March -2 April 2016
A new epic wartime musical from Wales Millennium Centre and the writer and producer of Birdsong.
June 1944. A dangerous mission behind enemy lines holds the key to success for the D-day landings, the most significant invasion for the Allied Forces in the whole of World War II. Had it failed, the world as we know it would have been a very different place.
But the men on the ground weren’t the only heroes in this heart-breaking and inspirational tale of three couples brought together by war. Based on historic events and the incredible stories of real people whose bravery and strength is tested to the limit, this highly charged new musical brings vividly to life the passion, camaraderie and hope of that incredible generation.
Only the Brave has been created by writer Rachel Wagstaff (Birdsong) composer Matthew Brind and director Steve Marmion (Artistic Director of London’s Soho Theatre), and will be premiered at the Donald Gordon Theatre this Easter.
