Want to arrange something special for your partner? We have compiled a list of 10 fun, thoughtful & creative things to do in Cardiff.

1. Share Dessert at Coco Gelato

Coco Gelato has a fantastic array of spectacular desserts – why not choose one of their huge sundaes with two spoons & get stuck in. If you like to keep your food romantic, we suggest you try The Ron Burgundy which consists of Mascarpone Gelato, Raspberry and Red Velvet Gelato, White Chocolate Gelato, Red Velvet Cake Pieces & so much more.

2. Go to a quirky cinema

If you're a little quirky & like the arty things in life then you should definitely take a trip to the Chapter Arts Centre to watch an indie film in their truly retro cinema.

3. Shop at the Street markets for ingredients for a homemade meal.

Perhaps you would like to cook for you partner & show off your culinary skills? To get the ingredients for your romantic dinner we suggest visiting one of the street markets in Cardiff, both Riverside & Roath are good options.

4. Hire bikes

Cycling is an excellent way to explore the city. Bring your bikes to Cardiff & lock up outside on our dedicated Future Inn Cycle Rack. Or if you're looking to borrow a bike try Pedal Power or Cardiff Cycle Tours. We suggest you explore the parks, & cycle out of town to Llandaff and Penarth for extra explorer points.

5. Get cultural at the National Museum of Wales

You will not be short of things to do in the National Museum of Cardiff. There's always plenty to see and do whatever your interests. Personally, we recommend the Evolution of Wales exhibition where you can travel through time.

6. Go duck feeding in Roath Park

Take a leftover loaf and some comfy shoes & enjoy a relaxing afternoon of throwing bread to the ducks. Keep an eye out for all of the cute dogs, seriously there are lots!

7. Row, row, row your boat

For the warmer months we suggest you hire a rowing boat for two in Roath Park and sail around the beautiful lake. Watch out for the swans!

8. Stroll along Penarth Pier

Penarth Pier is located on other side of Cardiff Bay. This is the ideal thing to do if you fancy a bag of chips & a stroll along the beach.

9. Find the secret bar

Do you & your partner like sampling top class cocktails? If so, you should most definitely track down The Dead Canary. The cocktails are both strong & exquisitely made. Good luck finding the bar though, it is deliberately hard to find...we will give you a clue, it is located on Barrack Lane.

10. Build trust at Boulders

Belay for one another as you climb the boulders and walls in the centre. There are over 2000 square metres of climbing surfaces including horizontal and angled walls, leading to hours of adventuring.
